This device contains four independent gates each of which performs the logic OR function. The 74LS32 is a 14-Pin Quad 2-Input OR Gate IC. The 7404 is a triple-buffered inverter. It has high noise immunity and the ability to drive 10 LS-TTL loads. The 74HC logic family is functionally as well as pin-out compatible with the standard 74LS logic family. All inputs are protected from damage due to static discharge by internal diode clamps to VCC and ground.

This Data Selector/Multiplexer contains full on-chip decoding to select one-of-eight data sources as a result of a unique three-bit binary code at the Select inputs. Two complementary outputs provide both inverting and non-inverting buffer operation. A Strobe input is provided which, when at the high level, disables all data inputs and forces the Y output to the low state and the W output to the high state.
